"a joyful family environment"
Look-ling cafe is a family restaurant located in Pakkred, Nonthaburi. The project aims to create a family hub in the middle of high-density housing in the area. As a kid is a family heart, the key space and main function are creatively designed to be a joyful place for the kids. The colourful playground is located at the heart of the place gathering kids at the centre hugged with a liveable environment where parents can be enjoyable. The trees create shades, the water cools down the temperature, the waterfall and Koi pond make a relaxing sense, the universal design for all, sufficient light and handrails for safety, these strategies create a well-being and friendly environment not only for kids but for all generations where can enjoy the place as a family.
FAMILY ENVIRONMENT
The master plan aims to create an environment for families by creating space quality that supports family both active and passive activities.
ACTIVITY STRATEGY
The axonometric shows the family activities throughout the project. The strategy is to locate the playground as the main space in the central area surrounded by family activities. So, parents can enjoy together with their kids around, or see them play closely at the centre.
WELL-BEING STRATEGY
The axonometric shows the strategy to create a well-being environment. The building orientation and big tree help to create shade, while the wind tunnel and water can cool down the temperature. This will create comfort for all activities throughout the project.
